Ride to Horsley Hills, Andhra Pradesh - 10th & 11th June 2017

Cycling ride to Horsley Hills Andhra Pradesh was organized by IFCR on 10th & 11th June 2017. In all there were 12 members who participated in the ride. IFCR Annual General body meeting for 2016-17 was scheduled during June month and the President of IFCR Rtn Prasanna thought it appropriate to have ride up to Horsley Hills and have the AGM at Horsley Hills by staying there for a night. Accordingly, an itinerary was drawn as under:

Horsley hill ride itinerary (10th & 11th June)

10th June

5:30am : Assemble at Hoskote Toll Plaza

5:45am : Ride starts (35km)

7:45am to 8:15am : Packed Breakfast 

8:15am to 10:15am : continue ride (35km)

10:15 am to 10:30am : Hydration break

10:30am to 12:30pm : continue ride  (30km)

12:30pm to 12:45pm : Hydration break 

12:45pm to 2:00pm : continue ride  (20km)

2:00pm : reach foothills 

From there travel to the top in Support Vehicle/  if anyone wants to continue ride can do so.

6:00pm to 7:00pm : AGM  followed by cocktail dinner.

Overnight stay at Horsley Hills

11th June

Relaxed day.

Start back in Support Vehicle after breakfast.

We all assembled at Hoskore Toll plaza on the morning of 10th June 2017. The distance from Hoskote Toll plaza to Horsley Hills is around 130 kms. One of the participants viz, Sanjay Kumar Daga who is close friend of Sandeep Mittal came all the way from Kolkatta to participate in this event. We also had 2 women cyclists viz., Mrs. Bindu Mittal w/o Rtn Sandeep Mittal and Mrs. Shubha Rao w/o Rtn Pradeep Rao. While Mrs. Bindu is already a member of IFCR, Mrs.Shubha joined as a fresh member of IFCR. 

We reached base of Horsley Hills around 2 pm as planned. Every one enjoyed ride to Horsley Hills. Stay for the night was arranged at Governor's bungalow and at the same venue late evening Annual General Body meeting of IFCR was held where a new body of members were elected to the Managing Committee of IFCR.

On the 11th June we all had gala time at the and after the breakfast returned to Bangalore by support vehicle.
